Southside Farmers Market

Farmers Markets

Market Days Coming Sooner and Sooner

Each day we get closer and closer to opening day for the markets and with the weather like it has been the past few days we could of had the market open provided our farmers would of had vegetables.

The picture I provided is from the first farmers market and it looks kind of small but this year will be quite the opposite.  We are prepping for a variety of vendors at the market this year.  Of course we will have the vegetable vendors including the Sweet Potato Man,  Maze Market, Oberweis Dairy, The Pepper Guy, D & S  Kettle Corn, Kings Garden, It’s All About the Bread and Butter,  Blue River Natural Foods,  St. Athanasus Byzantine Catholic Church, Simply Divine Cupcakes, Creative Touch, Stone Medicine Jewelry. In addition to the vendors listed above, there are a few more that will be coming in with all their fresh vegetables from time to time depending on the availability of fruits and vegetables.

Now lets talk a little bit about our Market Sponsors.

This year we have been blessed by several businesses in the area that are working with Southside Farmers Market to assure our success for the 2015 Market season.  These companies are in our area and will hand out flyers for all who are interested in visiting our market.  They are:

Eastman Products – Great battery  & light bulbs supplier as well as other items      Picture1

Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home – Great place to make your final arrangements   O'Riley_Funeral_Home_Card

Martin Fine Furniture – Very nice furniture and oldest furniture store in Indianapolis  martin

Ray Skillman Auto Center – Great place to buy a car                                             Ray Skillman Ford

Indianapolis Denistry – Want a sparkling Smile – best place to get that    indianapolis-dentistry

Without our sponsors some options would not be available at the market this year. Things like signage, advertising, flyers, newspaper ads and fees for listings of the Farmers Market.  Please patronize them often and thank them for sponsoring the Southside Farmers Market.

Ok, running a little short on time this morning as you can see the posts are usually up by now.  So until Tomorrow

Think Summer and Farmers Market

I was the Market Master for Southport Farmers Market which I started 5 years ago. I have turned the market over to a very quialified lady who loves working with customers and vendors alike. I spend many hours working on the updates to post here and bring you all the newest and exciting information of products, gardening, cooking and baking. I also am a Administrator for a popular Blog known as Jenn's Blah Blah Blog. Other things I do are fishing and baking.
