Southside Farmers Market

Farmers Markets

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Howdy Southside Farmers Market shoppers.  I don’t know about you but I am a little sick of all the rain we have been having but on the other hand it has been great for the gardens.  Last Friday we had a terrible storm and I called the market which can happen from time to time depending on the weather conditions.  You never know from one minute to the next in the state of Indiana as far as the weather goes.  I try to leave it up to the vendors if they feel it best to break down and go home.  After all their safety is a top priority as well a customers who pop into the market.

We have moved the market from the south parking lot to the north parking lot which gives the market more visibility and a little more shade.  With the temperatures being so hot a little shade helps cool things down a bit.  So on Wednesday June 17th look for us in the north lot and parking will be available right next to the vendors.  There will be parking cones to keep cars away from the tents and patrons who have children.  Which is it always a good idea to be on the alert when you see children in the area.

Well, let’s hope it doesn’t rain on Wednesday and it is not so hot.  See you all there.

I was the Market Master for Southport Farmers Market which I started 5 years ago. I have turned the market over to a very quialified lady who loves working with customers and vendors alike. I spend many hours working on the updates to post here and bring you all the newest and exciting information of products, gardening, cooking and baking. I also am a Administrator for a popular Blog known as Jenn's Blah Blah Blog. Other things I do are fishing and baking.
