Twenty-Eight Days and Counting

Twenty-eight days is not a real long time but that might be different if you consider what you are waiting for or what the 28 days’ entails.  I have heard that in twenty-eight days you can change habits.  It takes that long for your system to change but you have to be consistent in order for the change to happen.  Take losing weight for example.  To make a difference you have to follow a regiment day in and day out and change bad eating habits to achieve your weight goal.

Personal Trainer Food™ presented me with an opportunity to try their 28 Day Program to help me in my goal to lose some weight and in return, I volunteered to write about how the plan works and the results I will achieve.  Granted, with the holidays coming up, this time of year is probably not the best time to start such an ordeal but it might help keep me away from all the various foods that are fattening.

Personal Trainer Food™ is not just another diet plan.  It is an easy, smart and convenient way to shed some of that unwanted body fat and in such a way you are not starving yourself.  Personal Trainer Food™ says to change the way we think about losing weight and the attitude we have about eating healthy foods.  Weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise, ignoring the scales by judging your weight loss by how your clothes fit verses a number in a box, simple walking instead of spending hours at the gym and one thing I find most important is to not cheat.  Cheating or sneaking a bite here and there actually changes things from the moment you popped  that item in our mouth.  You think, I did it once and it didn’t affect anything so I can do it again and before you know it you are sneaking all the time and there goes your diet right out the window.

There are guidelines to losing weight and it is not just on Personal Trainer Food™ Program, it is with any diet you might venture into.  Certain fruits and vegetables, even though natural, work against your goal of weight loss.  I call them comfort foods, the ones you can’t seem to quit eating more and more of like potatoes (French fries), sweets and starches.

Personal Trainer Food™ Program works to stabilize your blood sugar and enables your body to burn fat.  It is recommended that on the first day you fast for 24-48 hours prior to starting the Personal Trainer Food™ Program.  Doing this helps to eliminate some of the unwanted sugar already stored up in your body.  I know you are probably thinking, fasting, no way but you are able to drink coffee, unsweetened tea, flavored waters and broth. I fasted for 24 hours and was surprised that drinking coffee and beef broth I did not get hungry.  I think with the drink being hot it helped to satisfy any cravings and I felt really good like I had more energy and was not sluggish at all.  I had this plate just laying around that I thought I would use for my meals.  It is sectioned out and is a bit smaller than my regular dinner plates.  I figured by using a smaller plate to put my meals on I wouldn’t feel like I wasn’t getting enough food.

Now, I want to talk to you about the food.  Personal Trainer Food™ is as good as if a chef came into your kitchen and cook especially for you.  The meals that I have eaten so far have been actually a very generous helpings and very satisfying.  I don’t know how they do it, other than with the combinations of food you have to choose from work together to satisfy your taste buds making you feel not hungry in between meals.  You don’t feel like there is something you gotta have.  In fact, you really don’t have any desire to have anything sweet.  I think fasting makes a difference when it comes to craving sugar.  It does take a bit of time to rid your body of sugar but once you have it makes eating sugary items less interesting.  When I was younger, I hardly ate anything with sugar or used it to cook with but as I have gotten older I really crave it and in fact my waist size is almost double what it was when I was younger and I blame it all on sugar.  I am really looking forward to my waist size shrinking and it already has and I am only on day 2.
